Some sad news: Honorary Vice President Norman Wilson passed away on Friday. Norman was a great servant to the club over many years- an ex-player, 1st XI captain ground convenor and president of Ayr Cricket Club (to name just a few of his roles) he was an active contributor to the club throughout his life. On hanging up his boots Norman kept up his involvement in the game by umpiring for many years. His presence on match days over this and future summers will be greatly missed. Norman was heavily involved in the development of New Cambusdoon in the late1990s, and a valuable source of information and help to many in maintaining and improving the ground. We will pass on details of the funeral as we get them. Condolences to his wife Lesley and all the family, from everyone involved with Cambusdoon.
