It is with sadness that we report the passing of (Stephen) Hunter Cosh, a stalwart of Ayr Cricket Club and the Western Union.
Hunter, a former Captain and President of Ayr CC, was capped 42 times by Scotland as a wicket-keeper and batsman, captaining his country between 1956 and 1959 scoring 873 runs with a top score of 99. He was well liked and respected by all who knew him, and there were many, throughout the West and beyond. Our thoughts are with his wife Betty, his children Catherine, David and Gordon and all of his family and friends at this time. Hunter’s funeral will be held at Masonhill Crematorium on Friday 24 March at 3.30pm to which all family and friends are invited (family flowers only).
Cricket Scotland has paid it’s own respect to Hunter with this article.
