At last nights EGM Administrator Iain Murdoch mentioned a number administration matters. These are summarised below.
Clubs are asked to ensure that their contact email addresses are accurate and up-to-date. The current list that that the Administrator has is in the Document Centre section of website under Club Contacts.
The First Division has returned to a ten-team division, and the CMC has announced that there will, therefore, be relegation from this Division in line with the guidelines set out in the Saturday League administration document.
The CMC also requires completed forms for all players who will be registered as a Professionals or Overseas Amateurs to be sent to it (via the Administrator) prior to them being eligible to play in any competitive WDCU game. If a club’s Professional or Overseas Amateur is not on the WDCU website list, or is listed with a red asterisk (*), then the CMC has not received the appropriate completed form.
Match returns will be done using the same system as used in Scottish Cup. Instructions on how to submit results are available within the system. Any clubs encountering problems should contact the Administrator. The team name to use is the name of the club, and passwords are set to a default of “password”. Clubs are asked to ensure that they change this password once they access the system. The system is open for practising with, and will remain so until Wednesday the 26th of April. Clubs should feel free to add in mock results, etc. until that date. After the 26th, the system will be reset to its live status.
Deadlines for completing Match returns, summary and full scorecards, and Captains Reports are also on the website in the Match return deadlines section.
Clubs should note that there remains an issue with what D/L system is to be used in season 2017. Clarification of this will be communicated to clubs by next week and the Playing conditions updated to reflect the decision.
Clubs with queries on any of the above matters should feel free to contact the Administrator (07816-400562).
