Help requested – Joe Williams, University of Strathclyde – dissertation

Hi everyone,

To all coaches out there. Can you help Joe out?  I am sure he would appreciate it if you could.

“I found your email on the Scottish Cricket website as I was looking for the contact details of some of the clubs email addresses that play in your league. I’m writing to you as I am currently a fourth year at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, and I’m undertaking my dissertation in management, and specifically focusing on cricket coaches and the importance of human and technical skills. As part of this I am conducting my own research and I would love to include some local leagues and gain an insight as to how the attitudes in Scotland may differ to those elsewhere. I have made a questionnaire that will take under two minutes to complete that consists of nine questions which will help me out massively with my final year project. The link to complete the questionnaire is here: https://s.surveyplanet.com/x8lfmliu. I understand you must be very busy so do not worry if you are unable to complete the survey, I completely understand. If you are able to, and know anyone else who may be able to take part in the survey, that would also be massively appreciated. Unfortunately there is not much I can offer in terms of incentives, but the Western District Cricket Union would definitely feature on the acknowledgements page of my dissertation if I am able to get a few responses.

Thanks for taking the time to read this email, and all the best for the upcoming season.

Regards,

Joe Williams”
