With the cancellation of the Greenwood Trophy at Albert Park last night the weather proved the only winner this week. All three cup finals move on to next week at the same time at the same venues.

Last night’s McCulloch Cup final at Glenpark between Tunnock’s Uddingston and Ferguslie was hit by the poor weather. Not one ball was bowled. Both teams will try again next Wednesday.
The Greenwood Trophy Final between Victoria and Dean Park is scheduled for 6pm at Albert Park tonight. Let’s hope we get this one on!!

Unfortunately the weather intervened half way through the first innings of the final of the Western Cup last night! So Titwood and Partick will have to do it all again nest Tuesday night!
Tonight’s McCulloch Cup final between Uddingston and Ferguslie is still scheduled to go ahead at 6pm tonight at Glenpark in Greenock. Come along and enjoy the final of one of the WDCU’s premier cup competitions.

Training will never be the same again as Hillhead CC opened their brand new practice nets last night . The net facility was opened by Tony Brian, Chair of Cricket Scotland, and welcomed by a group of playing members both old and young! Good luck to Hillhead with their new facility and here’s hoping it is extremely well used!

Following Tunnock’s Uddingston’s success over Ayr in last night’s McCulloch Cup semi-final all the finalists for next week’s games are identified! The games are as noted below. Good luck to all the finalists, play hard and fair, and may the best teams win on the night. It’s free entry to all the games so here’s hoping for good crowds at each game.

In 2019 a good number of new umpires started umpiring in the west of Scotland. There is always a need for more. Congratulations to Victoria and Dean Park who, after hard fought semi-finals last night, will face each other in the final of the Greenwood Trophy for 2019. Commiserations to Partick and Albert Park who put up strong performances in defeat.
The final will take place on Thursday the 1st of August at Albert Park and a big crowd is expected!
