Cricket Scotland Disciplinary Working Group – questionnaire

Cricket Scotland has established a disciplinary working group to consider player behaviour and discipline throughout the country. The aim of the group is to provide Cricket Scotland with recommendations on how to:

  • reduce the number of on and off field disciplinary events taking place; and
  • to review and if appropriate simplify disciplinary procedures used throughout Scotland with the aim of developing a consistent approach.

To help inform these recommendations Cricket Scotland has produced a questionnaire for league associations, clubs and individuals to complete.

The WDCU has responded to the questionnaire and an edited version has been sent to clubs to complete and return it to the WDCU Administrator by 31 October 2019.

Should any individual wish to contribute their views then please complete part 3 of the questionnaire and return as above.

Many thanks for your assistance with this research.

This was the first year the WDCU has used this system to monitor fair play and playing within the spirit of the game. Whilst it took a little while to bed in some very useful information was received. The system will be used again next year with the information received being fed back to clubs on a more regular basis.

Well done to Calero Tech Kelburne who had the highest average score of the season at 4.83 (out of five).
